(Chickens that lay golden eggs)
Once upon a time, there was a lazy couple who lived in great poverty, but they thought about getting something for nothing all day, hoping that the pie would fall from the sky. One day, something magical happened, and their hen actually laid a golden egg!
The couple took the golden eggs to the market to sell for a large sum of money. It was effortless to get such a large amount of money, and the husband and wife were both happy in their hearts. In this way, they took a golden egg to the market every day to sell, and soon they made a fortune, bought a lot of fields, built a beautiful big house, and invited many servants, and their lives were very comfortable.
But they are still greedy and still not satisfied with all this. One day, the wife said to her husband, "Since the hen can lay a golden egg every day, there must be many, many golden eggs in its belly, and maybe there is a big vault hidden!"
The husband listened and said very approvingly, "That's right! We simply killed it and took out all the golden eggs so that we wouldn't have to go to the trouble of picking up the eggs every day. ”
When all was said and done, the couple rushed to the chicken nest and killed the hen. But the result disappointed them, there were no golden eggs in the hen's belly, let alone a vault! The couple regretted it very much, but it was too late, they could have had a golden egg every day, and now they have nothing.
Soon, the couple spent all their possessions and lived in poverty. They moved back into their old dilapidated houses and lamented, "How nice it would be if we cherished our original wealth!" If we hadn't killed the hen that laid the golden egg, we would still have a golden egg every day! ”
Moral: If we don't know how to be satisfied and are insatiable, we will lose what we already have.
